Writers I know Wednesday - Marion Stein 06/07/2011
Loisaida – A New York Story I have been meaning to read this story for a while now and finally got around to it and like with Bitemarks I’m very glad I did. Marion is a talent that cannot even be thoroughly described. This is a gritty tale about murder, drug abuse, mental illness and the desperate lengths people will go to so they have a roof over their heads. Marion has a flair for characterisation and being able to capture the emotions and thoughts of every character so they are so distinct and real. This is written from many characters point of view and gives a multi level view of the story as it unfolds. Each characters voice shone bright and gave a different perception to the story and helped unravel it in a unique way. There were things I never saw coming and things I knew that were (Marion’s intention) and this kept me reading, wanting more. So I do not repeat how excellent this book is, I recommend you read it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed. Add Comment Teaser Tuesday - Loisaida - A New York Story 06/06/2011
